Senate Bill S1113A from the 2021-2022 Legislative Session relates to prohibiting the use of gas-powered leaf and lawn blowers during certain months seems to be gathering some momentum.

In 2021 the New York Proposal 2, Environmental Rights Amendment, was approved. Senate Bill S1113A’s passage would contribute to what is now guaranteed by the state’s constitution, clean air, from at least May 1st to September 30th. I sincerely appreciate this effort and thank Senator Liu, Biaggi, Harckham, Myrie, and all the other senators that will support this bill!

S1113A is a start and common sense based on the well-documented detrimental impact these gas-powered machines pose to New Yorkers’ health and quality of life.

Just wondering, according to the science and the right to clean air for New Yorkers, isn’t an entire ban on these machines warranted?
